"I visited Villa Maya on my birthday, and it turned out to be one of the most memorable dining experiences I’ve had!
From the start, the staff were incredibly polite and attentive. The menu was quite extensive, and Mr. Ali patiently helped us choose the perfect dishes based on our preferences — everything we ordered was delicious and well-recommended.
During our conversation, I happened to mention to Mr. Sareesh that it was my birthday. To my absolute surprise, a little while later, Mr. Sareesh, along with Mr. Ali and Mr. Murali, played the Happy Birthday song over the speakers and brought me a beautiful surprise — a birthday cake with a lighted candle in a jar.✨️
It was such a thoughtful gesture that truly made my day special. I deeply appreciate their kindness, warmth, and attention to detail. Moments like these show how much they care about their guests.
Highly recommend Villa Maya not just for their great food and beautiful architecture, but also for their exceptional hospitality. Thank you once again to Mr. Sareesh, Mr. Ali, and Mr. Murali for making my birthday so memorable..."
"Villa Maya restaurant has a beautiful ambiance, featuring charming old architecture surrounded by lots of plants and a very clean hand wash area. The seating arrangement is lovely, set around a water path with fish. When we arrived, the weather was cloudy and we took a few pictures. Soon after, it started raining, which made the atmosphere even more pleasant.
We ordered Kozhi Cheru, Aatterachi Curry, Grilled Beef and villa maya Biryani. All the dishes were very yummy and flavorful. The Villa Maya Biryani was especially delicious, with a unique and rich taste that really stood out.
We were lucky to meet Chef Parthasarathi, who shared a lot of interesting information about how each dish is prepared differently. It was great talking with him and hearing about his experience in different countries. The food service staff was also very humble and explained all the dishes clearly.
Overall, we had a very happy experience. Please continue maintaining this natural ambiance and high food quality always"
"5 stars just for the enchanting ambience - it's the epitome of traditional Kerala charm, with a lush lawn and cozy outdoor seating! 🛋️ The food might be a tad overpriced, but trust me, it's worth every penny. And their drink menu's got plenty of options to choose from, making it a perfect spot to unwind!"
"How is this not the most famous restaurant in the country?
Gorgeous. Authentic. Spectacular. I had to pinch myself that I randomly walked in here at about 9:30pm while hopping cafes in Trivandrum.
Architecture and Interiors: Heritage building teaming with art and nature. The murals, statues dot the large garden with water playing a prominent role, flowing across the floor, teeming with Koi and small fries. The background music pairs perfectly with the constant flow of water splashing around you. I must, without hesitation, also appreciate their washroom. The urinals, in the middle of a pond, watching koi while peeing. What in the world was going on.
Service: I interacted with Mr Rajesh and a few others, and every single team member here was exceptional in their quality of interaction, promptness, and going the extra mile to assist with personalised recommendations.
Food & Drinks:
Their selection of beer and wine was great, and offered several cocktails that were red/white/sparkling based.
The welcome drink of a coffee shot and an appam was light and set the expectation that this was not going to be an ordinary culinary experience.
I went for the Kerala Seafood Platter, which consisted of 3 dishes - Fish, Prawn, Squid. All 3 insanely good, I paired it with a Parotha. As flaky and soft as it could be.
For the dessert I tried the coconut ice cream brownie, which was served inside a tender coconut. Again, exceptional!
Price: Steep, worth it - 1000%, but be prepared as it will dent your wallet a bit. That said, it’s an ultra luxury place, without pretentious food or vibe, and would come here again and again."
"Bit expensive. The Ambience, the Food, the Service, all are very good. BUT THIS IS A HUMBLE REQUEST, NOT TO SERVE NON VEG FOOD IN OM DIYAS. It's objectionable."
