"I recently visited this seafood restaurant, and I have mixed feelings about the experience. The meals are priced around ₹200 plus tax, which I feel is reasonable and worth the money because they provide a good variety of curries. That part is absolutely fine.
However, the issue comes with the seafood fry items. They display only a board outside showing the price per 100g, and there is no proper menu listing the item weights and prices clearly. In our locality, fish fry is usually served in 100–200g portions. But here, some items are around 2kg or more, and customers don’t realize this before ordering. This results in a surprisingly huge bill.
Another problem is communication. One Bengali waiter didn’t fully understand what customers were asking, which led to more confusion. Luckily, some Kerala staff explained the pricing properly — otherwise, it would have been very misleading. The management really needs to be transparent, because this feels like manipulation to make customers spend more.
I ordered Karimeen Pollichathu, and it was tasty and fairly priced. So, the food quality and cooking by the local team are good — no complaints there. But they must improve customer service and clearly explain item weights and prices before taking orders. Customers should not leave feeling confused or cheated.
If you plan to visit, I strongly suggest confirming the weight and final price of seafood dishes before ordering."

"We had one of the most shocking and disappointing dining experiences here. After spending nearly ₹6,000 on seafood and ₹3,000 on a big sea bass fish fry, we discovered a piece of net inside the fish — lodged in its cheek. This is not a minor issue; it is a serious lapse in cleaning and food safety.
When customers pay premium prices, we expect premium standards — not hazards on our plate. Finding a net inside a fish shows negligence in cleaning and preparation. It is not only unpleasant but also raises major concerns about hygiene and quality control in the kitchen.
We urge the management to take responsibility and respond to this review. Customers deserve safe, properly cleaned, and well-prepared food. Incidents like this damage trust and reputation, and action must be taken to ensure this never happens again."

"Update on October 2025
⭐ 1/5 — Daylight Robbery in the Name of “Fine Dining”
I had praised The Trivans before for its interiors, but today’s visit was a shocker. I went in to buy a simple fish fry takeaway and saw prices close to ₹2,000 for most fish — more expensive than five-stars! I asked for something cheaper and ordered fried sardines, the most basic fish you can get anywhere for ₹50–60 a plate. The bill? ₹265 + GST (~₹300) for a few pieces!
When I questioned it, they said “We’re a fine-dine restaurant.” Sorry, but there’s nothing fine-dine here — just a regular AC restaurant serving thali meals at luxury-level prices. This isn’t premium dining, it’s overpricing without reason.
Trivandrum has many honest restaurants that serve great seafood at fair rates. The Trivans seriously needs to rethink its pricing before it loses all credibility.

Restaurant Review: Trivanz Food Court Seafood Restaurant, World Market, Anayara
We recently visited Trivanz Food Court Seafood Restaurant for lunch, and it turned out to be a delightful culinary experience with just a few caveats.
As we arrived, the place was packed – always a good sign for a lunch spot. We ordered the Kerala-style thali fish meals, squid roast, and pan-fried king fish. The food exceeded expectations for a Kerala lunch: fresh, flavorful, and perfectly spiced. The fish fry was spot-on, and the squid roast was tender and bursting with traditional flavors.
The ambiance is another highlight. The restaurant has a modern, upmarket look with varied seating arrangements, including options suitable for group gatherings or even small parties. The adjacent tea shop, run by the same management, adds a nice touch for a post-meal chai or casual meeting spot.
Located inside the World Market, Anayara, the restaurant benefits from ample tarmac parking and is also wheelchair accessible, which is commendable. The staff were courteous and attentive, adding to the overall positive vibe.
However, the pricing is the only major downside. A thali meal along with two seafood dishes came up to around ₹1400 for a single person, which feels steep even by seafood standards. If they revisit their pricing, Trivanz has the potential to become the go-to lunch destination in Trivandrum.
Verdict:
✔️ Excellent Kerala lunch
✔️ Premium ambiance
✔️ Friendly staff & great location
❌ Overpriced seafood dishes
Rating: ★★★★☆ (4/5)"
"This was my second visit with family. The ambience is pleasant – clean, well-arranged, with ample parking and a comfortable waiting area. The washrooms are also neat.
On our first visit for lunch (meals & chicken biriyani), the food was tasty though a bit on the pricier side.
During our second visit for dinner, we tried butter fish pollichathu with appam. The fish was delicious, but the appam was too thin and flat. The manager handled it well by replacing it with parottas, though they weren’t great either, and he didn’t charge for them, which was appreciated.
Overall, the service and ambience are commendable, and the food quality is good – but the pricing feels a little steep, so it may not suit those looking for a budget-friendly dining option. Food is tasty but slightly overpriced, and waiting time can be long. Service is good but waiting time is more, so if you’re in a hurry or looking for a budget-friendly option, this may not be the best choice for those."

"Warning to Customers – Misleading Pricing & Overcharging
Please be careful before ordering food from this hotel. The food we received was not worth even 1% of the price charged.
They display prices per 100 grams, but when you place the order, they intentionally bring large fish portions without clearly informing the customer, and then charge an excessively high amount. This is a misleading and tricky method to overcharge customers.
The pricing is comparable to a 7-star hotel, but the ambience, food quality, and taste are very average and absolutely do not justify the cost. This feels like a deliberate attempt to cheat customers by taking advantage of normal people.
I strongly advise others not to fall into this trap. I have attached the bill as proof. Please stay alert and don’t let these practices continue."
