"One of the best vegetarian restaurants in Thiruvananthapuram.
Their commitment to provide delicious food at any time of the day is highly commendable.
Firstly, they offer a variety of breakfast options ranging from dosa, appam, puttu, puri and others. Their specialty lies in offering wide varieties of dosa ranging from sada dosa, paneer dosa, schezwan dosa and what not. I prefer this spot for some fresh authentic South Indian breakfast.
They are famous for serving authentic Sadya, which one shouldn't miss in TVM. They serve it for the whole 365 days in afternoon with a token system. Usually the place gets filled up quickly around this time.
The sitting space as they claim is for 100 people and I found the restaurant very clean and hygienic. They even have transparency of dosa counters in the front where one can see the preparation. The staff and chefs are decent and friendly. The wash area is well maintained with adequate amenities.
The price might be a bit high than average restaurant but the quality they provide makes evey bite worth.
The location is behind the petrol pump at the overbridge to bakery junction. There is only parking space for 5 four wheelers, the rest might find a space nearby.
Overall, it's a must visit family vegetarian restaurant when visiting Thiruvananthapuram."
"Visited Mother’s Veg Plaza, Trivandrum tonight. This was my third visit, as I had already been here twice earlier during noon time to try their famous Trivandrum Sadya — which truly lives up to the hype!
This time, we went for Jini Dosa, Special Masala Dosa, Plain Dosa, and Poori Masala. Every dosa was unique in taste, well-prepared, and delicious — you can really feel the difference in flavor and quality compared to regular dosa outlets.
During noon time, the place gets very crowded with people waiting to enjoy the Sadya, and you often have to wait or compete a bit for a seat 😄. However, they have more staff available at noon, and the service moves faster despite the rush. In contrast, evening service is a little slower, probably because of fewer staff and less crowd.
The restaurant is neat and well-maintained, with clean banana leaves and tidy tables. The staff are polite and helpful, though the service could be a bit quicker during evenings.
We also took two dosa parcels, and the quantity was good with neat and secure packing — ideal for takeaway. A nice addition now is their separate car parking space, which makes visits much more convenient, especially during peak hours.
Overall, a great vegetarian restaurant in Trivandrum — perfect for those who love authentic South Indian flavors, whether it’s their iconic Sadya or their wide range of dosas. Definitely worth multiple visits!"

"Location: Google Maps takes you to the right place. It is very close to the Shree Padmanabhaswamy Temple (around 2 km) and about a 15-minute drive from Thiruvananthapuram Airport (5–6 km).
Staff: Very cordial and welcoming. They serve food with so much warmth and care. We ordered the famous Sadya (26 items), and the staff patiently served each items one by one and also explained each dish, i.e., what it is, when to eat it, and what to mix it with. Special shout-out to a staff member named Debashish Banerjee. He cheerfully explained everything and was very attentive throughout.
Food: Its a pure Veg restaurant. This place is popular mainly for its traditional, unlimited Sadya, and I must say it’s something everyone should try at least once. The Sadya consists of 26 items, including 4 types of sweets. I loved both the food and the overall experience of enjoying an authentic Kerala thali served on a banana leaf. They also have dosa and other items. They also sell banana chips (but only 1 kg packet is available)
Price: Very reasonable. You need to first take a coupon for ₹250 (for sadya) and then proceed to seating.
Ambience: Simple yet clean. The restrooms were also well maintained despite the heavy crowd, which I truly appreciated.
Overall: A must-visit place if you are in Thiruvananthapuram."

"Mother's Veg Plaza is a great spot if you love authentic vegetarian Kerala food. I tried the kothu porota with a side of raitha, and it was tasty with nice flavors and a good balance of spices. The raitha complemented the kothu porota well, adding a cooling touch. The food quality is generally good, though it can get busy during peak hours, so service might feel a bit rushed. The ambiance is simple but comfortable. Overall, a nice place for traditional south Indian vegetarian meals. Would recommend for quick, flavorful meals when in Thiruvananthapuram."
"We recently visited Mothers Veg Plaza (മദേഴ്സ് വെജ് പ്ലാസ) in Thiruvananthapuram, and it stands out as one of the best vegetarian restaurants in the city. The ambiance is warm and inviting, making it a delightful dining experience. We enjoyed the traditional Kerala Sadhya, which was flavorful and excellently prepared. The staff were patient and respectful, serving the meal with care. Mr. Shankar Narayana, in particular, impressed us with his exceptional customer service. He guided us through the traditional way of enjoying the Sadhya Thali, explaining the sequence of dishes (starting with sweets, snacks, and then the main course). We appreciated learning the cultural etiquette of the meal. Overall, we left satisfied with the service and delicious food. We’ll definitely return! A must-visit for anyone seeking an authentic vegetarian experience in Thiruvananthapuram!"
