"Wow, what an experience! We ordered the veg meals and were pleasantly surprised with over 15 items—each one crafted to perfection. The taste was authentic, earthy, and truly satisfying. We also tried the King Fish fry and Shrimp fry, and both were cooked beautifully with bold, fresh flavors. The service was exceptional—attentive and warm without being intrusive. Clean restrooms were a bonus, showing their attention to every detail. A must-visit if you're in Trivandrum!"

"The ambience, staff, and overall experience were truly commendable. The team was warm, attentive, and quick to respond—especially when I requested to see the fish tray, which they brought over within seconds. That level of service and hospitality deserves special mention, and I sincerely hope more restaurants follow their example. Now coming to the food: while the prawns and masala were a hit with my wife, I personally found the fish underwhelming. This might be because I’ve previously experienced exceptional fish preparations at a small restaurant called AMARAM—which has somewhat set the bar very high for me. Without that comparison, I would have probably rated the fish here as average. That said, taste is subjective, and my preferences may differ from others. But thanks to the great staff and the pleasant atmosphere, the visit was still worthwhile."

"Had an extremely disappointing experience today with a parcel order I picked up from here. One of the worst Pothichoru I’ve had in a long time. Ordered a normal veg pothichoru and a squid curry, and both were terrible. The rice was badly overcooked, and the curries mixed into the rice tasted extremely below average. Everything inside the packet was already mashed together into an unappetizing mess. The squid curry was even worse - insanely spicy with absolutely no flavor, just heat. On top of all this, they charged a whopping ₹500+ for one veg pothichoru and curry, which honestly felt like daylight robbery for the quality served. What’s even more disappointing is that after this experience, the glowing reviews here on Google Reviews feel very misleading, if not outright fake. Based on what I had today, the food quality doesn’t come anywhere close to the hype."

"Kappithan Restaurant is going on record as one of the best seafood restaurant in town . This is a humble venture of a noble family . Could sense the love and passion towards the venture from them directly…They do limited business with no takeaways …Raju mentioned it’s better for them to feel the love passed to customers directly and hence takeaways don’t make sense …Easily one of the best meals in town …really loved the concept of small pots with Sambar , dal curry , Rasam and fish curry for unlimited free loading …got fresh pomfret fry as a side dish …also ordered Biriyani ..it had an egg and 3 good piece of chicken in it …all this at an affordable rate …it’s close to lot of other restaurants which boasts seafood but this turns out as much better than them …"
