"Kerala food in the heart of Hyderabad. Akson Restaurant has been in Hyderabad for a long time now, having grown from a small eatery in Punjagutta to a full fledged restaurant now & planning to expand this outlet too.
Fresh fish on display for you to choose is what greets you as you enter. The open kitchen gives you a feel of hygiene & neatness. The owner & the team are at hand to guide & help you in placing your order.
Food is definitely adapted to suit the local taste & hence not true authentic Kerala cuisine. No complaints however since all of us enjoyed the Parotta, Appam, Egg Roast, Mutton Curry, Omelette, Half Boil & the Malabar Biryani.
Service is attentive & good.
Go there to try something new & different."

"Akson – Authentic Kerala Flavors That ImpressDining at Akson, a Kerala-style restaurant, was a delightful experience that beautifully captured the essence of coastal cuisine. The moment we stepped in, the cool and cozy ambiance set a relaxing tone. The interior, with its subtle traditional touches and soothing lighting, created a perfect space to enjoy a hearty meal without any rush. For lunch, I opted for the vegetarian meal, while my friend ordered the Malabar biryani accompanied by a crispy fish fry. Every dish at Akson reflected a commitment to freshness and authenticity. My veg meal was perfectly balanced—fluffy rice served with an array of flavorful curries, tangy sambar, and mild yet aromatic coconut-based sides that truly awakened the palate. The biryani, on the other hand, was an absolute showstopper—rich in flavor with fragrant rice and tender pieces of meat that melted effortlessly. The fish fry complemented it perfectly, golden-brown on the outside and juicy within, seasoned just right with Kerala spices. The portion sizes were generous but not overwhelming—enough to satisfy without waste. The staff deserve a special mention. They were well-mannered, attentive, and quick to respond to every request, ensuring that our dining experience remained smooth from start to finish. Despite the weekend rush, service was prompt, and every dish arrived fresh and warm.Overall, Akson delivers exactly what it promises—flavorful food rooted in tradition, courteous service, and an inviting atmosphere. It’s a place that welcomes both locals and food lovers looking to explore authentic Kerala cuisine. Whether you crave a hearty veg meal or a spicy Malabar feast, Akson is well worth a visit."

"I'm a regular visitor and have always appreciated the quality of food and service. However, during my recent visit, I was quite disappointed with the fish served. It lacked freshness and tasted more like dry fish — not at all worth the amount paid.
When I raised this concern with the manager, instead of offering a solution or replacement, it felt like the issue was just being managed without genuine resolution. Unfortunately, around 70% of the fish served was not fit for eating. I felt it won’t work in future for me to have my meal here.
I hope this feedback is taken constructively, and steps are taken to improve the quality and customer response going forward."

"Authentic Kerala style food. Had Onam sadya today. Just above average food. With the huge crowd, the food was getting delayed to serve. They could have planned and organized in a better way. Some items served was not upto the mark. Sure, away from home you cannot expect more. Be satisfied with what we can get. Can't say anything about parking except it is available on the road sides. Ambience was ok. AC was not quite cool and comfortable. Maybe due to excessive crowd inside"
