"Padmanabham in Rajendra Place, Delhi is well known for typical South Indian cuisine in an elegant setting.
Padmanabham is a restaurant with a railway coach-themed interior, featuring wooden decor and details like train windows that evoke a sense of gateway to Tamilnadu.
Padmanabham has a wide menu. After a tangy and spicy soup as a welcome drink they serve your ordered items. Taste their authentic Thali, crunchy dosa with coconut chutney, Idlis and filter coffee.
Prices are pocket friendly, good parking space.
Must visit the place for its beautiful ambience, prompt service, clean and hygienic place with amazing hospitality.
Wonderful experience !!!"

"It is a great place to have good South Indian food with great flavours. However the biggest issue at the restaurant is management. At my lunch experience , I was blown away with the taste of the food here but then came the issue resulting from poor management - poor quality of food preparation.
I first ordered a mini thali and the taste of the food was really good, much better than many others I have tasted in NCR area. But the Payasam served was burnt. When I complained about it, the staff told me that taste is like this only, but upon insisting, the chef came and he agreed that it got burnt while cooking. Knowing that the food was burnt, they still decided to serve it to customers which shows poor quality control.
Now this issue is just a mistake and can happen so I didn't fret over it much but then came the nail in the coffin - STALE FOOD.
When I ordered ghee masala dosa, the red chutney served along with it was stale and had a foul taste and smell to it. This time also the staff said that it is made fresh and can't be stale but this time when I requested manager, some other staff came and said that he will get it checked and then confirmed that it was stale and chef is now preparing a fresh batch.
Serving burnt food is okay to an extent as it only affects your experience in the restaurant but stale food can make people very sick very quickly.
Now to top it off there is no manager present at the restaurant and he has left the restaurant in the hands of the staff and he was away for some other work.
I would've given 5 stars to the restaurant even on burnt payasam but serving stale food is not acceptable in any restaurant.
Hope the management takes note of this review and take necessary actions."

"We went for Onam Sadhya. The wait was really long. But the team was able to give us the table. When the food started coming I would say the wait was worth it. Each item was delicious . The food was really tasty. The decoration for the festival was really good.. I would definitely visit this place more often for food. One suggestion would be to avoid the actual festival day as wait becomes too long. Otherwise everything especially is 5 star."

"Padmanabhan- A Hidden South Indian Gem Amidst the Chaos!
Padmanabhan is a calm and quiet South Indian restaurant just few minutes away from the hustle and bustle of its surrounding area. Built on a charming train-themed concept, this place offers a delightful journey through authentic South Indian delicacies.
Right from the moment you arrive, they welcome you with a warm serving of Rasam in a kullad, and trust me – it’s absolutely mind-blowing! Their extensive menu boasts a wide variety of South Indian dishes, but the one I personally adore and highly recommend is "Bhojanam".
Served every day between 12:00 PM till 4:00 PM, this traditional meal is presented on a banana leaf, offering unlimited servings of a variety of delicious accompaniments. It’s a true celebration of flavours and South Indian hospitality. Think of it as a simpler, more compact version of a traditional Kerala "Sadhya" meal — fewer dishes, but no compromise on taste or authenticity.
Their Podi dosa and the South Indian platter are also must-tries – both are bursting with authentic taste and perfectly presented.
What stands out is not just the food, but also the beautiful presentation, cutlery, and the peaceful ambience that completes the experience. Yes, the prices are on the higher side, but for such quality food and setting, it’s definitely worth the occasional indulgence.

🌸 Another feather to Padmanabham’s crown of authentic South Indian taste! Onam-2025🌸
Being a North Indian and a true admirer of South Indian cuisine—especially the grand Onam Sadhya—this has always been one of my deepest cravings. For years, I kept searching for that authentic taste of Sadhya in Delhi, which is nearly impossible to find unless you have a Kerala friend circle.
Having always admired the food at Padmanabham, it was my obvious choice to celebrate Onam this year. And I must say—Padmanabham truly exceeded my expectations once again!
The Onam Sadhya here was nothing short of spectacular—a true and soulful celebration of Kerala’s tradition. Though there was a long obious waiting, but honestly, it was absolutely worth both the wait and the price. The 30 specially prepared dishes served on the banana leaf were crafted with such authenticity that each bite transported me straight to Kerala. Not a single dish felt like a “restaurant style” version—everything tasted like a lovingly prepared home-cooked Sadhya.
Adding to the magic were the beautiful flower decorations, the presence of a Mahabali-dressed host to welcome, and the courteous staff serving with warmth, grace, and genuine hospitality. These touches made the entire experience not just about food, but about truly living the spirit of Onam.
Padmanabham gave us the joy of experiencing the authentic Kerala Onam Sadhya right in the heart of New Delhi—something I had been longing for years.
Heartfelt thanks to the entire team at Padmanabham for this delightful and memorable experience. Truly, as they say:“Ek hi dil hai, kitni baar jeetoge!” ❤️"
