"This restaurant is definitely preferred for lunch, especially because of its amazing food. The dishes were full of flavor and well prepared, making the meal truly enjoyable. While the service was okay and could be more attentive, it was acceptable overall. The ambience is simple, so it’s best not to expect too much in terms of atmosphere.
However, the quality of the food more than makes up for it. If you’re looking for a satisfying and delicious lunch, this place is a great option."
"I recently ordered from Muthashy’s and it was one of the most disappointing food experiences I’ve had. The chicken was not cooked properly, which is completely unacceptable and unsafe. It felt as though it was just boiled and served, with no flavour, seasoning, or proper preparation. The meat was bland, rubbery, and honestly difficult to eat.
The quantity was another major letdown. For the price they charge, the portions were shockingly small and nowhere near worth the money. The dish looked poorly prepared and tasted even worse—absolutely tasteless and lacking any effort or authenticity.
Overall, the food was terrible and definitely not up to basic standards. I expected a proper, well-cooked meal, but instead received something that seemed thrown together without care. I will not be ordering from Muthashy’s again, and I would not recommend it to anyone looking for good food or value for money."
"I visited the restaurant on 01-10-2025 and ordered a veg meal costing Rs.110. During my previous visit, I felt the sambar was better; this time, it was not up to the mark.
Kindly look into this"

✅ Food: Average/Decent
❌ Service: Chaotic and clueless
❌ Staff Training: Non-existent
❌ Billing Section: Arrogant beyond imagination
❌ Value for Money: Absolutely none
I’ve been a frequent visitor at Muthassi’s for lunch, but my latest visit was a masterclass in how to ruin a restaurant’s reputation with arrogance and ignorance.
We reached at around 2:20 PM, a perfectly normal lunch hour. Nobody attended us for the first 10 minutes. When someone finally came, he took our order for meals and vanished. The person serving side dishes seemed lost — he served me extra aviyal and completely skipped the person next to me. I had to remind him to serve again.
Then we ordered two sardine fries, which were conveniently served after we finished the meal — while the server stood idle the entire time. Every single item — from water refills to pappad to even salad — had to be repeatedly requested. The so-called “meals” were half-served: no pachadi, no coconut chutney, and payasam for only one person.
And this wasn’t just our table — I saw multiple tables doing the same thing, calling staff again and again for basic items.
Now comes the part that truly defines this place — the billing counter experience.
When I politely mentioned the missing items and poor service, the elder person at the billing desk (possibly the owner) responded with an attitude that would put a five-star hotel snob to shame. His exact words:
> “Who asked you to come at crowded time?”
That’s right — apparently, 2:20 PM is “do not come” hour at Muthassi’s.
When I mentioned we didn’t get payasam and chutney, he casually said:
> “Next time we’ll give you extra.”
No apology, no ownership, just pure arrogance and indifference. He even charged the full amount of ₹110 per meal without hesitation — for meals that weren’t even fully served.
For context, there were enough staff — one serving rice, one sides, one pouring curries (who didn’t even know the order: I asked for dal, he served pulisseri). Another person was walking around doing absolutely nothing productive. To top it off, I overheard two young staff casually gossiping about girls and customers instead of doing their job.
And let’s talk about pricing —
2 Sardine fish fry – ₹90,
Manthal fry – ₹290,
Clearly, the fish must be imported directly from the royal kitchen of Travancore at this rate.
Food was just decent at best, but the service, organization, and attitude were absolutely horrible.
Comparing to my earlier visits — I once found the food overhyped but acceptable. Now, even that feels generous.
This time, Muthassi’s didn’t just serve food — it served me a full-course meal of arrogance, disorganization, and ignorance.
If you’re planning to visit, be ready to serve yourself — and don’t expect any courtesy from the billing counter. Muthassi’s may claim to be “authentic Kerala cuisine,” but what’s truly authentic here is the arrogance."
