"The food at Dakshin Bhojanam is excellent, with Swaminarayan and Jain options also available. We ordered a regular masala idli and one rawa masala dosa in the Swaminarayan option. Both tasted wonderful. In most places, such as Ramanujan at Judge’s Bungalow Road and Udupi Jaya at Gurukul, the same sambar (without onion and garlic) is served for both Jain/Swaminarayan and regular meals. However, here at Dakshin Bhojanam, they provide separate sambars for each. At Udupi Jaya, both green and red chutneys are available for Jain/Swaminarayan as well as regular options, whereas at Dakshin Bhojanam, the Jain option comes with coconut chutney and a sweet chutney (similar to mattho), and the regular option comes with red and green chutneys. The service and staff are also excellent, and the interior and ambiance are very appealing. We truly enjoyed the food and would highly recommend visiting this place. I have a request from my side, If green and red chutney options are also added to the Jain and Swaminarayan meals, it would be even more enjoyable for people like me. And the best part is that this restaurant remains open from 11 a.m. to 11 p.m. without any breaks, whereas Ramanujan remains closed from around 3:00–3:30 p.m. to 6:00–6:30 p.m. This means you can visit Dakshin Bhojanam at any time of the day."

"we had the pleasure of dining at Dakshin Bhojanam, and it turned out to be one of the most delightful food experiences we’ve had in a long time. The interiors immediately transport you to South India — Every corner feels carefully curated to celebrate southern culture. We ordered Benne Dosa, Thatte Idly, and Rava Kesari, and every dish was a hit — each chutney felt freshly ground, bursting with flavor. The Rava Kesari was the perfect sweet ending: just the right balance. The presentation also stood out. Food came served on brass plates with banana leaves, giving a traditional touch that elevated the whole dining experience. Even the cutlery, brass tumblers, and wooden placemats added to the charm. A special mention to Arjun, who made the experience even better. His service was attentive, friendly, and genuinely warm. He explained the dishes, made us feel comfortable, and added a personal touch to the evening. What really impressed us was how the restaurant wasn’t just about food — it was about recreating the entire cultural experience of the South. From the décor to the hospitality, everything blended beautifully with the authentic flavors on the plate. We’ll definitely be going back!"

"We had a wonderful dining experience at Dakshin Bhojnam in Ahmedabad. The menu is very good with a wide variety of authentic South Indian dishes, and they also offer many different types of dosas, all of which were delicious. The service was excellent throughout our visit. A special mention to Captain P. Shah, who truly went above and beyond to accommodate our group and made sure everything was perfect. His hospitality and attentiveness really stood out. We thoroughly enjoyed our meal and will definitely return on my future trips to Ahmedabad. Highly recommended for anyone looking for great South Indian food and outstanding service."

"Extremely Disappointing Experience – Poor Service and Unprofessional Staff I recently visited this place with a group of 10 staff members, and I must say the experience was far below expectations. The service was absolutely unacceptable — not only from the general staff but shockingly even from the management and cashiers. They appeared untrained, unprofessional, and lacked basic courtesy and service standards. Despite giving live feedback during our visit, it was completely ignored. It seems management is either indifferent or unaware of how to handle customer concerns. The prices are quite high, and while we understand that quality service comes at a cost, what we experienced was not just substandard — it was a complete disaster. If there was a scale below zero, this would be at -200%. The overall attitude and behavior of the staff were more like chaotic and careless rather than customer-oriented. A deeply disappointing and frustrating experience. I do not recommend this place at all."
